Reading the Daily Text
The first, or left most, tab in JW Library is Home. Find and double tap the Home Tab if it isn't already selected.
Now touch the top left corner of the screen. If VoiceOver says something like the time followed by "StatusBar Item" lift your finger and touch a tiny bit lower.
Alternatively, if Virticle Navigation is on your Voiceover rotor, you can turn the rotor until you hear Virticle Navigation. Now swipe down with 1 finger to move to the item that is directly below the item with focus. *
You want to hear "Home, Heading."
Right below that will be the Daily Text. VoiceOver will read the scripture that is today's text.
To read the scripture along with the comments double tap when VoiceOver says Daily Text.
If you hear total silence instead of "Daily Text" in the spot just below the Home Heading, that means the Examining the Scriptures Daily publication is not downloaded. Just double tap that empty spot anyway.
You should hear something like "Examining the Scriptures Daily 2023, brochures and booklets 2MB" swipe right and you'll hear Cancel button. swipe right again to the Download Button and double tap it.
If Examining the scriptures Daily is downloaded, double tapping Daily Text will open the Daily text at today's date so you can read both the scripture and comments.
Voiceover will probably say "In progress" as it opens, and then "Back Button" when it is opened.
To get to the text: Turn the Voiceover rotor to either headings or containers. Then when you swipe down once with 1 finger, you should hear: date "heading level 2 article landmark."
Make VoiceOver read the entire text by swiping down with 2 fingers.
You can stop VoiceOver's reading at any time by touching the screen with 2 fingers. Touch the screen again with 2 fingers to resume reading.
When finished reading you can use the Voiceover 2 finger scrub to go back to the list of publications on the Home Tab.
